    Following a gruelling Freedom 100 race, racing driver Peter Dempsey in the Belardi Auto Racing Indy Lights machine managed to earn the top step of the podium by the smallest of margins-- nothing more than 0.0026 seconds ahead of Gabby Chavez.

    Not only was Dempsey's win the closest finish in Indianapolis Motor Speedway history, the top four drivers including Gabby Chavez, Carlos Munoz, and Sage Karam, all finished within thousandths of a second from one another, producing the most thrilling four-wide photo finish Indy has ever seen.     An I-5 bridge collapses In Washington after a truck hauling an oversize load struck the top, causing devastating structural damage. The I-5 bridge collapse caused two vehicles to fall into the Skagit River below. Thankfully, the three occupants in the vehicles all survived with only minor injuries.

    According to authorities, the I-5 bridge collapse occurred on Thursday at about 7 p.m. Initially, the cause of the bridge collapse wasn't clear clear and civil engineers even wondered whether to bridge gave way on its own. During an overnight news conference, Washington State Patrol Chief John Batiste officially claimed the bridge collapse on a tractor-trailer that carried a tall load, colliding with an upper beam on the span.     Popular automotive YouTube channel Drive just released a new "DRIVER'S EYE" featuring a helmet-cam video of racing driver Leh Keen piloting his Farnbacher Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R in full attack mode around a wet and dangerous Nurburgring just before the ninth hour of the 24 hours of Nurburgring.
