Lexus has been trying to keep its new 2015 RC-F sports coupe mostly under wraps until its world debut at the Detroit Auto Show, but we now may have our first look at the the new Lexus coupe. A scan of a recent magazine article from Japan shows two pictures of the 2015 Lexus RC-F. The authenticity of the photos is not known, but the small details, like the hood scoop and front fender are the same as the Lexus teasers.

Over the past few days we've also learned that the 2015 Lexus RC-F will be powered by a new 460 horsepower V8 engine, which is not only more powerful than the engine in the IS-F, but is also more powerful than the 2015 BMW M4. Lexus hasn't revealed if the RC-F is going to get a retuned version of the same 5.0L V8 that powers the IS-F. Both the Lexus RC 350 and RC-F are based on the same platform as the Lexus GS sedan. Compared to the IS, the RC coupe is 1.2-inches wider and 1.4-inches lower.

We're likely to see more leaked photos of the 2015 RC-F as we get closer to the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, which kicks off on January 13.
