Following after the scheduled release date of Galaxy S8, the rumor thread has quickly been shifted its focus to the next flagship device. That said, despite the explosion issues that took place last year, Samsung have already confirmed that Galaxy Note 8 will be released this year. Unfortunately, a long-time Chinese leaker has recently revealed Samsung's upcoming foldable smartphone dubbed Samsung Galaxy X will be launched first before the much awaited Galaxy Note 8.

According to Trusted Reviews, the Chinese leaker who goes by the name: mmdj_china in Twitter, has claimed that he's a member of the Samsung Galaxy Club in China. Allegedly, he reveals that the foldable Galaxy X is set to arrive in Q3 before the Note 8 will be released on the 4th quarter of the same year. Apparently, rumours regarding the flexible Galaxy X have already surfaced early last year, until it was confirmed that Galaxy X would be joining Samsung's flagship range alongside the Galaxy S8 in 2017.

Furthermore, as per Value Walk, if these information provided by the Chinese source were proven to be correct, it means that there will be 1-3 months of gap between the Galaxy X and Note 8. Traditionally, Samsung is known to unveil their upcoming device at the IFA event in Berlin, which is set to happen is the 3rd quarter of the year. However, with all the information that has been coming out, Samsung will allegedly have to push back the Note 8 unveiling because of the Note 7 debacle. Ultimately, fans of Note 8 would have to further wait for the 6GB RAM, iris scanner, an S Pen stylus, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack phone.
