While two new colors are being introduced for the 2017 Chevrolet SS namely Orange Blast and Nightfall Gray Metallic, Car Gurus reveals that three other colors-Jungle Green Metallic, Mystic Green Metallic, and Some Like It Hot Red Metallic will be deleted. The Chevrolet SS will be powered by a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine derived from the previous generation Corvette C6. The V8 engine delivers 415 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. The Chevy SS charges up to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds.

The 2017 Chevrolet SS comes with a multi-link rear suspension, dual-mode exhaust system, big Brembo brakes, and GM's Magnetic Ride Control System. It comes with a standard forged aluminum wheels and Z-rated tires. The car's interior comes with a well-bolstered seats with leather upholstery. It also features dual-zone automatic climate control, front seat heating and ventilation, keyless ignition, remote start, to name just a few.

Chevrolet reveals that the Chevy SS will bring in design enhancements to the front fascia. It will now feature LED daytime running lamps and will feature muscular rear-wheel drive proportions. The 2017 Chevrolet SS will also include several driver-friendly technologies such as Head-Up Display and Automatic Parking Assist. With 4G LTE Wi-Fi connection, users can easily access apps, stream music, or work on the go.

The Car Connection reveals that the 2017 Chevrolet SS will cost around $48,000. The company will also offer several dress-up accessories such as stripes, different grilles, and fog lamps. With the Chevy SS going out of production due to poor sales, it will likely become just a collectible car.
