In celebration to the 2018 Renaultsport Megane RS FB teaser that hit the mark of one million likes, the Renault Sport's new creation will be available in 2018. The schedule for its debut will most likely be at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany from Sept. 14 to Sept. 24, 2017. Other reports say that it could also culminate its debut in the Monaco Grand Prix Auto Show. Regardless of the news of its launching, it will not be on sale till 2018.
Renault Sports CEO Patrice Ratti claims that the new Megane RS has a very good engine at 300bHp. The French carmaker has no intentions to alter the Renaultsport RS with claims that it is faster in the corners than the Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport S in the Nurburgring Tracks, but it has to show its mettle in the front wheel drive category against the current champion, reports Auto Express.
The 2018 Renault Megane RS is a fourth generation trend of the model. It has a 2.0-liter engine that fires up 300 bhorses. The front wheel drive is linked with a 6-speed manual to the gearbox. An EDC dual clutch automatic is an offer for the first time for this model.
The 2018 Renault Megane RS will have a lower and longer platform than its predecessor. It is much lower by 25 mm and longer by 28 mm. This property gives the new model more traction and grip. It has a four-wheel steering feature making it more maneuverable to drive, reports Auto Car.
The Ford Focus RS has Renaultsport attention with its 257 kW, 440 Nm torque, and 2.3 liters turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The 2018 Renaultsport Megane RS ensures its capacity of 225 kW to be in short range with the Ford competitor's line of sight. The Brits expects the Megane RS in the early months of 2018 in which case, the Australian will get its Megane RS six to nine months after its release in Europe, as reported by Car Advice.
