Despite not being an established smartphone manufacturer, One Plus flagship phones have always been making huge waves in the tech industry. Now, rumors have recently been surfacing that the next flagship will skip the number 4 and jump into OnePlus 5 after the OnePlus 3 allegedly because of some cultural beliefs. On the other hand, while One Plus is well known for its flagship killer devices, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer did not announce any update regarding the its next flagship smartphone.

A Leak About One Plus 5

According to Droid Report, a new surfacing leak suggests that One Plus 5 will be a premium device; a description which is often linked to global tech giants such as Samsung and Apple. Inspired by the company's previous flagship, the OnePlus 3T, it was found that the next generation One Plus 5 aims to go head to head with today's big brands. Thus, it goes without saying that OnePlus 5 will have high-end killer specs and just as the leaked renders have indicated; it might be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 SoC.

Concurrently, as per Value Walk, the alleged One Plus 5's processor is also the same processor that powers Samsung's latest Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. With that, renders of the much anticipated device also suggests that it will packed with a huge 8GB RAM and 64GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot.

In addition, as early as now, experts say that OnePlus 5 will also feature a 23MP rear camera which will be coupled with a 16MP front camera. However, in terms of its price, OnePlus 5 is expected to range between $400 and $500 depending on storage options and the information about its release date is yet to be announced by the company.
