A stunning red LaFerrari being spotted in Monaco attracted a lot of attention. Ferrari’s latest super car was unveiled for the first time at Detroit Motor Show, back in March, along with one of its main rivals, the McLaren P1.
LaFerrari is a limited production hybrid sports car built by Ferrari, and only 499 will be produced.
Powered by a V12 engine, LaFerrari is capable of producing 800 horsepower at 9,000 rpm, and 700Nm at 7.000 RPM. Its electric motor has a maximum output of 163hp and 270Nm of torque, taking the combined output to 963 horsepower. According to the Italian automaker, the LaFerrari can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds and from 0 to 300 km/h in just 15 seconds. Top speed stands at just over 350 km/h, or over 217 mph. Ferrari also claim that the car has lapped its Fiorano Test Circuit in less than 1 minute and 20 seconds which is faster than any other road-legal car Ferrari has ever produced.
A bystander caught this wild LaFerrari in the streets of Monaco. See and listen to the LaFerrari accelerate through the narrow streets as the photographer Melanie Meder holding the camera shouts "Merci" before squealing with delight:
